Why Boat Pilot?

Boat Pilot is a small, owner-operated training business. Brendon runs every session himself – you deal directly with your instructor from the first phone call to the end of the practical day. Here is what that means for you:
BoatSafe-accredited provider, recognised by Maritime Safety Queensland to deliver the RMDL and PWC assessments.
Blue Card holder. Cleared to work with children – so teens and younger students are in safe, checked hands.
Free first re-sit. If you don’t pass first time, your re-sit with Boat Pilot is on us. Subject to availability.
A well-maintained training location close to home. The Moores Road ramp at Weinam Creek is a short drive from Thornlands – council-maintained, easy to access, with good parking on arrival.
Brendon answers the phone. Call 0407 754 614 and you’re speaking directly to your instructor – not a receptionist, not a booking system.

BoatSafe accredited - recognised by Maritime Safety Queensland

Boat Pilot is accredited under the BoatSafe program, the Queensland Government’s recreational boat licence training and assessment scheme. Every practical session meets the requirements set by Maritime Safety Queensland. Your Statement of Competency is issued through the official BoatSafe system.

Owner-operated. Brendon runs every session.

This is not a franchise. Brendon owns the business and teaches every course. Small groups – maximum four students per session – so you get real attention, not a crowd. Questions welcome before, during, and after the practical day. Call him directly on 0407 754 614.

Training location

An easy drive from Logan City

We’re upfront about this: we don’t train in Logan. The ramp is the Moores Road boat ramp on Weinam Creek in Redland Bay, south-east of Brisbane. From across Logan City – whether you’re coming from the Beenleigh area or further into Logan – the drive out to Weinam Creek is a straightforward run eastward toward the bay.

For Logan locals, the combined session makes the trip worthwhile. You come back with both the RMDL and the PWC done – no reason to make the drive twice. We send precise directions and a preparation guide with your booking confirmation.
